Custody Servicing, Representative

The Asset Servicing, Custody group is comprised of multiple service teams that service over 1,400 client appointed investment manager relationships and over 400 self-managed client relationships in North America. On the service team, the Client Service Representative (Rep) acts as the primary point of contact for our investment manager and client relationships on domestic trade communication and settlement issues, international trade communication and settlement issues and foreign exchange execution. The Rep also monitors daily activity of portfolio and is responsible for daily cash management for international portfolios.

In this fast-paced environment, the Rep will develop time-management and analytical skills to successfully navigate the organization, as well as utilize a multitude of proprietary tools, resources and applications to resolve inquiries and time sensitive issues. The role requires great attention to detail, adaptability and the aptitude to perform in a multi-task environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Acts as the primary contact for investment management firms on domestic and/or international trade communication and settlement issues relating to client accounts.
2. Responsible for daily cash management of multiple currencies for international portfolios. Determines appropriate cash management action to take. Initiate foreign exchange and call account activity for client accounts
3. Coordinates daily with investment managers regarding client account activities. Informs managers of any exceptions and proposed steps for resolutions
4. Researches and resolves processing inquiries and prepares correcting entries including reversals and rejects.
5. Expected to use some initiative and analytical and problem solving skills, but refer more complex problems to supervisors/experts
6. Works effectively as a team member but also independently

Experience

A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience in financial services is preferred. Basic securities industry knowledge is preferred
