GENERAL PURPOSE:

To increase sales volume/revenue through expanded market share, building a strong Team, and developing untapped market opportunities, primarily in the Las Vegas market. In addition to the Las Vegas market, business development in the Gaming & Hospitality industry and other strategic markets throughout the Country will be a secondary focus. The business development and increased revenue initiatives will require close coordination with the Las Vegas Division Leadership team to ensure the projects, markets, and opportunities align with the organization's vision and goals under the direction of the VP / LV Region Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coaches and evaluates account executives: including individual training on and off-site with sales and clients
  • Work with account executives to identify customer segment opportunities and build strategies to sell into those segments.
  • Works with account executives to identify and creatively address customer needs with signs and services.
  • Sets and reviews sales goals, accounts, and works with account executives to achieve annual sales goals
  • Strategizes on design concepts and customer budgets to identify features, benefits and associated costs, including potential ROI for customer
  • Formulates engaging sales training and conducts weekly sales meetings
  • Consults, reviews and helps negotiate contract terms and conditions – reviews and approves commissions/wages associated with large projects
  • Coordinates and manages the design function
  • Resolves customer complaints that rise above what the account executive can deal with effectively
  • Attends weekly productions meetings to review design, estimating and production scheduling
  • Coordinates and manages customer priorities, operations, and financial results with management group
  • Promotes all YESCO lines of business

MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends required manager meetings and reports on the sales for the region
  • Attends networking opportunities such as chamber/civic functions and volunteer organizations
  • Resolves employee conflicts between departments
  • Supports the VP Sales / Region Manager's financial goals and vision of the region
  • Supports the Government Relations Committee – reviews and speaks to local city governments groups including city councils and planning commissions on occasion.
  • Conducts employee annual and / or midyear reviews for account executives and support staff
  • Supports sales branches on occasion. Performs other functions as necessary or assigned.

NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:

Has direct oversight and performs employee reviews on 10-12 employees. Has indirect leadership with other departments, including the design and estimating teams and project management. Motivational skills are required to help account executives, designers, and others realize their potential. Provides strategic leadership for financial goals and objectives. Must have the ability to persuade others to adopt necessary changes. Formulates the training and trains others on financial analysis. Trains on survey skills and the skills required to consult with customers on design functions, including readable distance and using industry materials and techniques.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree in business with a focus on data analysis, marketing, advertising, and communication is preferred, with a Bachelor's degree in business with a strong emphasis on communication and marketing and an understanding of statistical analysis, economics, and accounting, plus a minimum of ten years experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Gmail, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; and the ability to navigate Netsuiteproficiently
  • The ability to analyze and formulate solutions from raw data
  • The ability to manage and motive account executives
  • The ability to coordinates and manage competing and complex customer priorities involving operations, and financial issues and resolve escalated issues as required
  • The ability to read and understand financial statements

The employee is regularly required to: talk, feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands. Must be able to occasionally move objects of 10-15 lbs. Specific vision abilities include: clarity of vision at 20 inches or less; and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. Must have the ability to manage stressful situations, including long work hours, and the flexibility to meet client needs. Regional travel is possible every 6-8 weeks.
