The Customer Account Representative is a development position within MoLo's Account Management department focused on small to medium sized business (SMB). As the Customer Account Representative, you will work alongside a team of Account Representatives to support inbound truckload quote/customer service requests to drive growth, service levels, and profitable performance across a wide portfolio of potential customers. You will learn freight fundamentals and market behaviors as you develop your freight market knowledge and negotiation skills. You will collaborate cross-functionally with the Carrier Sales team to ensure the integrity of MoLo's service is being maximized.

What will you be doing?
The Customer Account Representative is a development position within MoLo's Account Management department focused on small to medium sized business (SMB). As the Customer Account Representative, you will work alongside a team of Account Representatives to support inbound truckload quote/customer service requests to drive growth, service levels, and profitable performance across a wide portfolio of potential customers. You will learn freight fundamentals and market behaviors as you develop your freight market knowledge and negotiation skills. You will collaborate cross-functionally with the Carrier Sales team to ensure the integrity of MoLo's service is being maximized.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop market knowledge and effectively utilize pricing tools for the purpose of setting market competitive rates.
- Proactively manage spot business for assigned customer accounts and shipment portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including carrier sales, customer operations, incident management and other pertinent departments to service each customer shipment.
- Provide backup support for customer and peers throughout the AM team, as needed.
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with key customer contacts with an emphasis on driving business growth.
- Meet and/or exceed established key performance indicators to be eligible to be promoted to a Customer Account Manager.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Customer Operations, Customer Service, or Carrier Sales experience is preferred
- Previous experience in the full truckload logistics industry is desired
- Willingness to learn and ability to be coached
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service
- High attention to detail and proven ability to multitask
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
