The Customer Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for providing quality revenue cycle services to HEALTHCAREfirst outsourced billing customers, with a focus on A/R management. This specialist must exercise accountability and professionalism in maintaining the high level of service our customers deserve. This role reports to the Manager of Billing Services.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains Account Receivables and claim follow up on all business lines for assigned customers.
- Process adjustments and re-file claims as needed
- Troubleshoot reimbursement issues and claim follow-up as required per each payer.
- If agency intervention is needed, notify the agency within 2 business days claim verification.
- Post payments using multiple payment posting methods, with a focus on leveraging all EMR capabilities.
- Work EOBs to ensure claims paid properly
- Ongoing Collection responsibilities, follow up on claims that need to be addressed
- Maintain an understanding of Medicare rules, regulations, billing codes
- Knowledge of the reimbursement rate for accounts assigned.
- Provide Revenue Cycle Services reporting and customer communication and to support agency revenue cycles services and cash flow.
- Maintain established productivity level while achieving KPI targets.
- Maintain confidentiality and knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Customer Service:
- Augments agency operations by building productive relationships with clients regarding their revenue cycle services.
- Informs and advises customer(s) of any internal agency process opportunities that may be delaying cash flow
- If agency is non-responsive, escalate the concern to a HEALTHCAREfirst Billing Services Manager or Client Success Manager.
- Send weekly status reports and communication to the agency to ensure ongoing communication regarding revenue cycle operations.
- Communication is to be completed through established software and communication tools are to ensure timely and effective communication with focus on items that are urgent or require action by the agency
- Leverage multiple communication channels to ensure timely and accurate updates.
- If no response is received with the same business day, a phone call will need to be placed the following business day to follow up with the agency.
- Maintain a professional relationship with agency staff, keeping personal and internal HEALTHCAREfirst details to a minimum.
- Escalates unresolved customer grievances to the proper department, or management for further assessment.
Qualifications:
- Open to dynamic change and ability to thrive in such an environment
- Ability to work independently with Initiative to take on new tasks as necessary
- Organized with the ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer and office equipment proficiency with an aptitude for learning computer systems
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles with a focus on Accounts Receivables.
- 2+ years of healthcare billing and A/R management experience. Homecare & Hospice a plus.
- Prior experience working with the rules regulations, and billing codes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance (preferred) for both Homecare and Hospice.
- Education equivalent to a High school diploma or extensive experience, college degree preferred

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
Subject to the absolute discretion of the company, this role is eligible for an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.

Base Pay Range for this position:
$21.15 - $26.44/hr
For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
