Job Title: Customer Data Management (CDM) Product Owner

Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid)

Position Summary

NCR is seeking a Customer Data Management (CDM) Product Owner. The ideal candidate will possess significant data management experience allowing them to adequately drive the evolution of the CDM capabilities in response to enterprise business needs through consultation with internal and external experts. This role serves as the champion for data governance ensuring that the design and integrity of Customer Master Data is maintained within and across NCR's systems.

Key Ares of Responsibility

  • Work with Master Data Management and IT experts to develop a Customer Data Management strategy.
  • Build and manage the CDM platform enhancements roadmap to address enterprise needs.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders from Business and IT and ensure CDM enhancements are well coordinated and communicated.
  • Understand business needs and identify creative solutions with IT to address them.
  • Establish relationships with external vendors (D&B, Salesforce, Oracle) and utilize their expertise and suggestions to improve the system.
  • Facilitate the integration of CDM with other NCR applications and ensure customer data is not duplicated.
  • Lead the CDM Operations team and introduce process to optimize team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and ensure timely response and resolution of required data changes supported by sound escalation procedures with supporting KPIs.
  • Perform consistent escalation reviews and document preferred practices to prevent issue reoccurrence.
  • Provide insights to the CDM operations team to maintain and improve Customer hierarchy structures and introduce ideas for better alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate trainings for CDM users, with clear and regular communications on enhancements to the CDM user community.
  • Represent CDM at the NCR Data Governance council meetings and provide a long-term vision for CDM evolution.
  • Provide guidance on the best way to leverage automation capabilities to meet the growing needs of the business.
  • Take ownership for the CDM toolset and work with vendor(s) to ensure appropriate, cost-effective technologies are leveraged to the benefit of the business.
  • Analyze and reports usage data and trends.
  • Collect and organize stakeholder feedback.
  • Provide written summaries, analyses, and action plans which drive improvements in usage, satisfaction, performance, and compliance.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned CDM administrators.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategies that improve the awareness and productivity of each user community.
  • Design methods to test and report on the cleanliness and completeness of data.
  • Lead the development of training assets that improve capabilities aligned with user needs.
  • Establish and manage governance practices that improve data quality and completeness.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, MIS or related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in data management, product ownership or related field
  • 5+ years of direct and indirect people management experience
  • Direct experience working with customer and product hierarchies
  • Very strong data strategy and management experience specific to connecting data requirements across various business applications
  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills
  • Proactive and strategic thinker; able to look ahead and foresee issues and plan around them
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills; able to translate targets into tangible process improvements
  • Team-oriented and collaborative approach in working across teams
