We are looking for a highly skilled Product Owner for Ford Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDI&A) Customer360 (C360) team which focuses on delivering relevant, timely and accurate customer data to the enterprise

About you:
  • You have a strong aptitude to formulate open questions; devise creative solutions; deliver curated data products and services; clearly articulate in discussions, presentations, and research reports.
  • You enjoy and are able to work well in a fully collaborative environment - such as having the ability to work closely with a C360 technical team as well as with other internal and external business and technical team members.
  • You come from a strong background working with Big Data Technologies.


What you'll do:
  • Translate high-level strategy and product direction into subepics, features, and user stories.
  • Understand business requirements profoundly and convey them both internally and externally to technical development teams.
  • Actively work with a technical team to provide customer and marketing data solutions, including continued refinement based on a rapidly evolving business.
  • Actively work across the GDI&A organization and with external vendors for information sharing, joint project development, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Consult with key project stakeholders to understand business drivers and translate them into specifications for functional and well-defined data products.
  • Elicit, capture, analyze, refine and document business requirements and user stories.
  • Actively work across the GDI&A organization and with external vendors for information sharing, joint project development, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Hybrid/Remote position (work from home) with minimal travel expected.


What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology-related field (computer science, engineering, big data analytics, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of experience with data warehousing, data curation, data analysis/forensics, and ELT.
  • 3-5 years of experience with SCRUM, Agile Product Development, Continuous Integration and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Hands on experience in writing large scale data processing jobs.
  • Understanding of J2EE framework, multithreading, and webservices.
  • Good written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and disciplined software development processes.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Master's degree in technical discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).
  • Understanding of Ford / Automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform product suite and GCP BQ (Big Query).
  • Familiarity with extracting data from Salesforce for data warehouse applications.
  • Familiarity with consuming / using streaming data in analytic and database applications.
