OVERVIEW & IMPACT:
Creating global demand for Samsung memory products (EDP-DRAM, Flash/SSD) by working with strategic customer's engineering & marketing teams to maximize Samsung business potential. 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design In:  Enable Global Sales by Collaborating directly with the customer's design/development engineers / managers and Samsung’s Product Planning and marketing teams to assure that the best Samsung Memory (SLC/MLC/TLC Nand Flash, eMMC as well as future memory technology), products are designed in to the customer's systems.  Work to identify the most optimum solution considering key variables such as memory type, density, speed, power, cost effectivity, lifecycle, and availability; all while emphasizing Samsung's business and technological interests.  This interactive process is applied at every instance a design-in opportunity is identified, thus enabling the Sales team to maximize product sales.
- Learn, understand, and document customer's roadmap and technical objectives. Â Aggregate into a clear and concise form using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Word. Â Present these technical trend data to key Samsung personnel such as Technical Marketing and Product Planning teams for use in establishing Samsung's global product strategy.Â
- Present Samsung's technical trend information and roadmaps to customer's key engineers and management.  Work with them to assure that their future product demands are congruent with Samsung’s future product offerings.  Attempt to negotiate any deviations.  Escalate any unresolved discrepancies, both at customer and Samsung.
- Manage qualifications at customer sites, including those at their various subcontractors (ODMs, CMs, etc.). Â Support data sheets, sample requests, SPD maps, simulation models, to customer etc. to facilitate design in. Â Identify and correct situations where qualification failures occur. Â Negotiate priority qualifications with customer based on critical/strategic Samsung needs. Â Strive to assure that Samsung is qualified in every possible memory application. Â Report quality status and estimated quality completions to Samsung management on a regular basis, highlighting obstacles and strategies.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with Key design/development engineers and managers. Â This is accomplished thru daily interactions and providing exceptional customer support. Â This is critical as it assures that Samsung interests are adequately represented in the customer's decision making process. Â Maintain relationships at the higher level management to assure proper attention to escalations.
- Manage quality issues at the customer. Â Involve applicable teams from SEC/HQ including CS team, Quality team, Applications Team. Â Manage and host any dialogs (con call and/or F2F) with the FA team from SEC and the customer's representatives. Â Escalate to appropriate business or technical directors if higher customer involvement is needed to conclude Root Cause Analysis. Â Must be generally familiar with semiconductor testing processes, various FA techniques, and general semiconductor fabrication technology/processing. Â
- Develop and maintain relationships with Korea HQ counterparts to enhance and ensure smooth and accurate communications with relevant teams in Korea HQ.
- Responsible for managing team of 4-5 engineers as they perform similar job duties of designing-in and supporting (field and factory) Samsung memory products.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor Degree required. Â BS Electrical or Computer Engineering strongly recommended. Â
- Must be familiar with working with customers or vendors. Â Previous supervisory experience is helpful, but not essential. Â
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Customer Management Systems. Â
- Moderate to high level of travel required, est. 30%, both international and domestic, up to 1-2 times per month, drive to local customer site up to several times per week, but subject to change.

PREFERED SKILLS
- 3 to 5 years semiconductor (memory preferred) required.
