Customer Experience (CX)
The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.

Join the Nokia Sales Engineering team and participate in the transformation of the communication infrastructure of the United States. As a new Associate Sales Engineer, you will participate in our Emerging Professionals in Customer Experience (EPiCX) program, where you will receive comprehensive training and development to provide Pre-Sales and/or Sales Support for Nokia products, services, and solutions to our North American customers. You will gain an understanding of account strategy and learn to support that strategy in coordination with the sales team and business units through a cooperative selling approach. Our extensive training and 5G Bell Labs certification program prepare the Sales Engineers to provide specialized expertise to support the sales process to drive accurate and optimal solutions for our customers. Engineers work with customers to understand their requirements to create the best solution. As part of our comprehensive sales development program, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to the full sales life cycle, engage with different customer teams and sales support functions, and establish your role in helping our customers navigate advancing technology.
In this job you will:
- Learn about 5G technology, Fiber Broadband networks and Cloud Computing
- Assist in the evaluation and development of business opportunities in collaboration with sales team
- Develop subject matter expertise to engage customers, present viable technical solutions, and articulate the busines value of our technology to customers.
- Support sales teams with product demonstrations, lab evaluations and network trials.
- Learn the process to identify customer's development requirements and the flow of this information to internal Nokia stakeholders.
- Travel to customer site locations or data centers and support the on-site team with new product and technology trials
- Actively support the bid team during offer development phases (EG solution description, Scope of Work (SoW), Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Statement of Compliance (SoC).
Your skills and experience
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree.
- Strong interest in influencing the technical direction of our customers through the sales cycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Customer focus
- Telecommunications industry technical acumen
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, IP routing protocols, OSI stack, Radio frequency propagation and Wireless networking.
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time in first year; travel requirements will likely increase in future years with experience, consistent with the face-to-face nature of our customer engagements.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Previous internship/work experience in sales support or engineering role.
- Experience building a PC, set-up home wireline and WiFi networking
- Experience with Public Cloud computing
