What you'll do:

The Customer & Market Insights (CMI) Manager will couple business acumen with strong analytical skills to develop and shape actionable insights for our Banking & Payments businesses. They will be responsible for both ongoing insights activities (intelligence newsletters and other information pushed to key stakeholders) and ad-hoc projects, where we help to scope and execute research of all types (primary, secondary, and internal data sources) to address specific questions. This individual will also coordinate across functional areas for larger scale / more complex projects.

The key areas of responsibility are:

  • Conduct market analysis, evaluate trends, and synthesize actionable insights to inform NCR's product and portfolio strategies by integrating multiple sources of data
  • Recommend best practices for research techniques, scope large-scale analyses, and coordinate across functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Navigate ambiguity to understand the market and customer problems and synthesize meaningful research to address them
  • Communicate key insights to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders, influencing growth strategy, innovation ideas, product roadmaps, etc.
  • Develop relationships and in-depth expertise to become a trusted advisor and earn a "seat at the table"
  • Assist in developing improved research practices & processes

Required educational / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, economics, or a business-related area
  • 5+ years of experience in customer insights or market research
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
  • Adept at translating research and insights into actionable strategy
  • Ability to both work independently and collaborate with cross-functional team members
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet required deadlines

Preferred educational / professional qualifications:

  • Management consulting experience
  • Experience designing and executing both primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary research
  • Experience building relationships with clients (internal or external) and coordinating cross-functional projects
  • Experience with the Banking / ATM industry
  • Ability to interpret corporate financial statements
  • Experience with analytical tools (Power BI / Tableau / etc.)

  • Confident in working with and presenting to executive-level audiences
