Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
- Enhance customers' satisfaction on Avery Dennison by increasing the responsiveness to customers' request
- Manage the product development with Importer offices and its agent offices to drive sales growth
- Tighten the connection between Importer sales and internal functions (CS, OM, Ops & TQ).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- To understand Importer on service, development, and quality requirements accordingly work with our internal department to provide solutions to meet customer needs.
- Act as the product development expert, demonstrating comprehensive technical knowledge for the HTL, Woven/PFL, POS, RFID product line.
- Effectively manage product development process from gathering customer information to artwork development, costing/pricing, sampling, and final approval.
- Guide customers to the greatest value solution for their branding needs for a given product line.
- Attends customer presentations and meetings as required.
- Prepare global price proposals using established tools and guidelines. Consults with Importer Sales when competitive situations arise and escalation is required.
- Liaise between Importer sales, GPD hubs, CS to deploy new items to production.
- Contribute to all relevant initiatives to achieve business plans in collaboration with Importer Sales.
- Support ad hoc sales project to drive business.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years account servicing/ inside sales/product development experience in a manufacturing company, preferably with Trim / Apparel experience, printing industry experience.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Deep technical knowledge of the (POS, HTL, PFL/Woven) product line strongly preferred.
- Passion for product trends, insight, possibilities, and development.
- Demonstrated ability to be highly organized while managing multiple projects to completion against tight deadlines.
- Highly effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive and with effective communication & interpersonal skills.
- Good team player.
- High level of PC skills, including use of Excel, ERP (Oracle preferred), pricing tools, product/customer databases.
- Detail minded and result oriented.
- Solid mathematical skills for pricing.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight timeline
