Overall Purpose

The Risk Manager will be responsible in overseeing the day-to-day management of customer risks associated with entities entering into a business relationship with Early Warning Services (e.g., reselling products, providing technical integration service, purchasing the products, participating the networks etc.), including initial risk assessments for customer onboarding, risk reassessments and monitoring changes for timely updates, management of risk mitigation, and reporting.

Essential Functions
  • Test and manage counterparty customer risk assessment frameworks such as counterparty risk, compliance risk, financial/business risk, security risk, etc.
  • Conduct initial risk assessments for all newly established customer relationships based on established procedures
  • Refresh risk assessments per defined frequency and escalate issues when applicable
  • Monitor negative news and determine appropriate measure to be taken when issues arise
  • Work with internal teams to design and build appropriate automated tools to support customer risk management program
  • Ensure network operating rules and internal policies support execution of network risk management requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to create risk monitoring reports.
  • Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree
  • 5 or more years of related risk management experience in payments industry, preferably in a compliance risk function.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced quantitative analysis for credit/financial risk and/or compliance risk with focus on commercial entities.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization, as well as senior executives and customers.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build partnerships and alliances internally and with external partners at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Unyielding commitment to highest professional ethics
  • Background and drug screen


Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or similar advanced degree with finance focus
  • Commercial credit underwriting, CFA, or bank audit experience
  • 5 or more years of related experience

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
