How you will help us create value together:
As a Customer Sales Support Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Aftermarket Sales and Support department. This team is responsible for aftermarket part sales to our distributors and providing world class support to our customers. Activities will include providing support to our team of Regional Support Representatives, parts order expediting, KPI report generation and analysis, and additional projects.
This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee's Harbor District! The target start date for this role is Summer 2023 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2023 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work with regions, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics to identify part delivery concerns and develop action plans to drive improvement.
- Execute part order expedite requests from distributors with supply chain and communicate estimated shipping to distributors.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute customer support KPI reports including backlog/ backorders, on-time delivery, sales, and other department KPI reports.
- Assist in customer support process and policy development, improvement, and implementation projects.
- Participate in cross functional project teams supporting key aftermarket sales and support initiatives.
Qualifications We Look For
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in business, marketing, operations, or similar, from an accredited college or university.
- Junior or Senior level student in good academic standing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal.
- Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous classroom and/or work experience in one or more of the following areas: Material Requirements Planning (MRP), SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, and other business studies.
- Highly focused on customer support initiatives and providing world class customer support - Previous experience working with customers or in the customer service field.
- Ability to handle high volume of internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work and communicate with global customers - Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
- Interest in or aptitude to learn about careers in the heavy equipment industry.
