Job Description
Mail Clerk:
Summary of Position: The Mail/ Facilities Associate will be based in Shelton, CT. The right candidate will be an integral part of the Exela team, supporting our continued growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, delivering, pickup etc). Basic maintenance skills and experience using basic tools to make minor repairs, hang art work, white boards and other similar tasks.• Trouble shoot printer issues and coordinate service calls• Schedule courier deliveries and pickups.• Lift heavy boxes, files or paper as needed• Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages• Shipping & Receiving• Sort and deliver mail, packages• Perform other tasks as assigned• Stock and maintain supplies for the Mailroom, Bathroom, Pantry and printers• Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and
cooperative attitude• Assist in the assembling and relocating of office furniture• Pack & move boxes as needed within the site as requested• Perform duties and special requests as assigned by management and client• Consistently adhere to business and safety procedures and guidelines• Serve as escort for vendor related activities and repairs• Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer needs and ensure that any facility need is proactively addressed• Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and client personnel• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment• Ability to adhere and administer company's policies and procedures• Outstanding work ethic• Sitting for long periods of time• Ability to meet attendance policy• Ability to work additional hours if needed
Required Qualifications:• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required• Minimum of 2 years customer service related experience required• Strong organizational and administrative skills required• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, employment history and criminal background check
