Job Summary
Serves customers by providing product and service information; resolving product and service problems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services.
2. Opens customer accounts by recording account information.
3. Maintains customer records by updating account information.
4. Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
5. Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.
6. Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
7. Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Key Skills• Persuasive communication skills necessary to collect essential information, answer questions, and direct callers to appropriate personnel in a professional and courteous manner• Developed interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas and government agencies as required• Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around complex, multiple assignments• Intermediate knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software• The ablity to communicate information effectively in writing and vebrally
Minimum Qualifications• High School Diploma or GED• 1 year experience in customer service or call center environment
Additional Desired Qualifications• Bilingual (Spanish / English)
Physical Requirements
Physical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine. Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.
