What We Need:

Brady Corp is looking for a dynamic and energetic intern eager to work in a cross disciplinary position for all the departments that Customer Service Operations oversees including Customer Service, Technical Support, Training and Repair. Intern will work hand in hand with the Process Engineer to handle multiple cross functional projects aimed at process improvement through a DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement, Control) approach. Intern will also be able to lead their own project.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Learn to handle each customer email interaction from start to finish including order status, price and availability for a product, and invoice copy requests through our CRM PEGA.
  • Rotational assignments throughout all departments such as: Training, Repair center, Tech support and Customer Service
  • Use Lean principles to define and improve key metrics
  • Run reports to analyze data from web applications to display trends
  • Create proactive schedules to reduce foreseeable interruptions
  • Assist and eventually lead Lean Daily Management meeting reporting
  • Accountable to drive goals through individual metrics and a strong understanding of department, team, and individual goals

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Sophomore standing or higher and in good academic standing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google Suite (Sheets and Docs)
  • Ability to problem solve, apply critical thinking and analysis.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to make decisions independently.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly adaptable to a changing, fast paced environment.
