JOB DESCRIPTION
The Customer Service Representative is expected to have excellent phone and interpersonal skills, must be able to investigate customer complaints and questions and answer those in a personal, professional manner, specifically addressing their unique questions and concerns.
The Customer Service Representative is expected to have exceptional written communication for addressing customer questions and complaints, and tailoring those responses directly to address the customers' needs. The Customer Service Representative is expected to be both a company steward and an advocate for the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
- Act as the first point of contact to handle internal and external customer inquiries via phone or email
- Keep records of customer interactions, comments, and complaints through CRM system.
- Enter orders into corresponding systems (LIMS, CRM, Solomon)
- Generate reports to assist in workflow and internal/external customer interactions
- Assist customers with invoice questions and follow up for necessary late payments
- Maintain work procedures and processes that support departmental standards
- Be knowledgeable about NEOGEN's people, products, and services
- Play a critical role in driving many processes that impact departments across NEOGEN by advocating for customer initiatives
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous Customer Service experience.
- Agricultural and/or Veterinary experience preferred
