Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative provides an initial point of contact for representatives, distributors, and direct customers to resolve inquiries which include, but are not limited to: tracking shipments, expediting deliveries, preparing sales agreements, checking product availability and answering basic questions about products.

This position reports to Customer Care Manager.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

  • Non-Exempt


What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing high quality support and a great customer experience by creating and nurturing relationships with customers and channel partners
  • Managing multiple priorities simultaneously including phone calls, order entry, email, and responding to sales team member questions/requests
  • Receiving and processing orders from customers and channel partners for shipment from designated manufacturing plants
  • Obtaining and extracting order information and provide customer service management with the data
  • Providing information concerning product availability and pricing
  • Collaborating with Applications Engineers, Area Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, etc. to assist the customer in any way possible
  • Other duties as assigned

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience in a customer service role
  • Experience using basic office equipment in a professional setting (i.e. personal computers, multiple-line telephones, copy machines)
  • Experience using multiple sources for research
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively


Preferred

  • Experience working with end-users, manufacturers' representatives, distributors and sales managers preferred
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Call center experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System
  • Familiar with the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process
