Job Description: Customer Service Representative for Ambulance
Location:Burbank, CA, 91504
West Coast Ambulance is seeking a reliable, customer-focused individual to join our Dispatch Center as a Customer Service Representative (CSR). The ideal candidate will support patients, families, and healthcare partners by coordinating ambulance and non-emergency transportation services. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer high-volume inbound calls and respond to inquiries from patients, families, facilities, and healthcare professionals
• Accurately schedule and coordinate ambulance and non-emergency medical transport (NEMT) services
• Input and maintain accurate patient and trip data into scheduling systems and software
• Provide empathetic and professional service while handling sensitive situations
• Work closely with dispatchers, field crews, and medical facilities to ensure timely service delivery
• Document all communications and actions in accordance with company procedures and compliance standards
• Assist in resolving service concerns and escalating issues as needed
• Perform other duties or administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a call center, dispatch, healthcare, or transportation environment strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• ETC (Emergency Telecommunicator Certification) or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Familiarity with ambulance operations, NEMT workflows, or HIPAA practices
• Availability for weekend, evening, or holiday shifts as needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
