Customer Service Specialist
Job Description
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm (Remote position but must train in Fort Worth office 4-6 weeks & be able to work in office on occasion)
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience working in customer service and/or healthcare related field.
- Understanding of medical terminology, hospital-based medical billing practices and billing reimbursement.
- Strong customer service background and knowledge of insurance policies required.
- Strong keyboarding skills and advanced knowledge in use of MS Office applications including Word & Excel.
- Internet proficiency and knowledge of email management tools are essential.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
- Knowledge of Epic Systems and/or OnBase.
- Working knowledge of professional and hospital billing and follow-up preferred.
