Overview
Position: Customer Service Specialist
Department: Sales and Marketing
Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm Monday thru Friday
Environment: Office Setting, B2B Sales and Service, and Business Casual
Location: Hillside, Illinois, United States, 60162
Our Customer Service Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks and duties along with providing services, solutions and support to existing customers, prospects, and internal departments.
In this role, you will interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services while also focusing on potential opportunities to increase sales. Product support requires the ability to learn and understand technical details about our products and providing solutions. Variety of tasks and duties are considered admin work and data entry.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Discuss with customers by telephone or e-mail to provide information about products, to take and/or enter orders, and research customer inquiries.
• Identify, research and resolve customer problems using various tools such as business systems, product literature, and internal resources.
• Contact customers to follow up on customer inquiries or to notify them of any planned resolutions to their concerns.
• Maintain order frequency through telephone and/or e-mail. Follow up with inbound inquiries daily and develop a working knowledge of accounts.
• Build rapport and credibility among new customers, including traditional and non- traditional accounts.
• Utilize CRM software with existing and future customers; maintain account details.

Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree or actual experience in Business, Marketing, Engineering is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in customer service is required; 4 years of experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must have ability to learn technical details.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-starter and motivated.
The pay for this role is $36,000/yr plus commission to start and is commensurate on experience and education and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible for paid time and major holidays off.
Note: There are no health benefits offered at this time.
