Customer Solutions Architect
Job Description
The Jupiter Solutions Architecture team interacts with every customer at Jupiter and is involved in every area of the company, engaging with cross-functional teams across sales, science, marketing and engineering. A successful Solution Architect has interpersonal skills to communicate with customers at any level/seniority and technical skills to deliver solutions that meet climate risk business needs. Since the Solutions team is the direct point of contact for our customers on how to maximize value from Jupiter’s products and services, Solution Architects will have to design and deliver customized data and deliverables to meet the ranging requirements across geographic regions and industry verticals. This requires a diverse skillset to create and deliver customer solutions, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and becoming a subject matter expert across all of Jupiter’s domains. What your day looks like:
- Solution Delivery: Responsible for project execution, customer implementations, custom product delivery, and deliverable creation. Deliver data results to partners and customers utilizing Jupiter’s internal data processes. Full ownership of customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, planning, communication, budget, and customer results. Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, scientists, and developers to deliver and support solutions.
- Customer Success: Responsible for customer satisfaction throughout their relationship with Jupiter. Act as the point of contact for existing partners and customers by providing solution support, answering questions, and ensuring the customer is maximizing the value of products and services. Develop strategic cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with the business development team.
- Internal Collaboration: Drive learnings from engagements back into core functions at Jupiter. Create custom solutions, such as building customer tools, designing bespoke reports, creating/coding new methodologies, and generating visualizations, as new customer requirements emerge. Assist product and science teams with deploying Jupiter data.
- Prospective Customer Engagement: Partner with business development to develop marketing collateral, deliver product demonstrations, and design customer solutions. Responsible for providing leadership in the creation and delivery of solutions designed to meet a customer’s business needs. Develop industry domain knowledge to be able to position company service offerings versus competitors.
What you bring to the role:
- Working knowledge of at least one data querying or programming language (Python a plus)
- Experience working with large databases, architecting/operating solutions (built on AWS or other infrastructure), reporting and analytical processing, ETL/ELT, and business Intelligence tools
- Working knowledge of APIs and GIS tools
- Ability to create high-quality deliverables that meet executive-level expectations
What you need for this role:
- B.S. or M.S. in a physical science, computer science, finance, engineering, data analytics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, data science, GIS, customer success, or another customer-focused role
- Ideal experience with financial services
This position is a hybrid role and can be based in New York City, San Mateo, CA or Boulder, CO
