Why This Job Matters

The Americas and Partner Solutions Architect is responsible for providing design and application support for Vonage strategic technology partnerships. This person will actively participate from a technical sales perspective and help the Partnerships team achieve and exceed targeted revenue goals. Reporting directly to the Director of the Americas Sales Engineering, this role has a strategic impact on Vonage’s partners and sales success.

What you will do

  • Generate accurate and timely design configurations for architectures integrated with partner products

  • Attend Partnership calls and assist with Partners products integration efforts. Strategic partnerships include platforms and AI (AWS, Google, Meta), Contact Center (Genesys, etc), CRM (Salesforce), Low-Code (OutSystems, ServiceNow), and potentially many other global ISVs.

  • Conduct technical interviews with Customers and Partners to clearly define needs.

  • Provide technical expertise to enable the growth of Vonage’s solutions with technology partners and ensure that customer needs are met

  • Develop a working knowledge of the industry, ecosystem, and competitors in order to act as a valuable resource to the customer, Partner, and Sales teams.

  • Occasionally review quotes, RFPs, plans, and other customer documents related to customer implementations involving key partners to contribute to an effective response or proposal

  • Conduct product demonstrations both in-person and using webinar tools

  • Provide tools, enablement and training for the pre-sales teams and implementation partners on conducting effective presentations and demonstrations to prospects and potential customers using Vonage products and Partner technologies. Act as the technical advocate of the partner in Vonage’s organization.

  • Manage a virtual team of regional Customer Solutions Architects, responsible to amplify the know-how of partner solutions in the regions.

  • Contribute proactively to Vonage’s partnership strategy, in coordination with partner and product teams, by sharing technical and market facts, proposing valuable partnership opportunities, and helping drive a successful Go To Market execution.

  • Provide technical assistance and drive cross-functional initiatives with other departments, including Product Management, Marketing, Developer Relations, Pre-Sales, and Training teams.

  • Deliver product and technical presentations both onsite and remote (in accordance with the company’s Covid policy).

  • Build & Deliver comprehensive and customized demonstrations of solutions involving Vonage and its technology partners focused on functional capabilities, in business terms easily understood by the customer. Collaborate effectively with the Customer Solution Engineering team. 

What you will bring

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships with the sales team,
    Technology partners, implementation partners/systems integrators, and customers

  • Confidence to be a compelling and passionate public speaker with communication skills of the highest caliber including at Partner events

  • Strong understanding of the sales process and strategies  involved with usage-based API business models

  • Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions

  • Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills

  • Project manage the coordination of third-party integrations to expand the Platforms that drive Vonage communications API business.

  • Ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal supervision

  • Aptitude to apply solutions, technology, and products to a business opportunity

  • Willingness to travel

What is required of you

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience and 2+ years as a Sales Engineer

  • Experience in video conferencing/webRTC and communications, Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google), AI-ML, and API integration (iPaaS, low-code) are a major plus

  • Experience in Product Management, Design Thinking, Product design, and integration is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the healthcare vertical and financial services is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

  • Data Networking, SIP, SBC, and communications industry certifications are a plus, Experience with networking protocols, standards, and hardware

  • Technical and Functional knowledge of SaaS including contact center, CRM, Marketing automation products, and the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of node.js, JSON, React, XML, Java, and PHP among others, and real-life understanding of development methodologies and processes, including project management boards.
