Position Overview:
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the Spend Portfolio Management (SPM) Finance organization to partner with the Customer Success Finance team in providing financial insights and analysis to the Customer Success division, led by our Chief Customer Officer. The Customer Success division drives customer experience from beginning to end and is a dynamic and fast-moving component of the future of Autodesk.
This Finance Manager will partner with the Customer Success Finance team to deliver actionable insights to make ROI driven decisions enabling the Customer Success division to optimize its investment towards efficient and effective business growth. This role will also work with SPM Finance team members and other stakeholders in a variety of areas, with opportunities for continued learning and development. This individual contributor role will report to the Senior Manager - SPM Finance and could be a remote role located in the AMER region.
Candidates should have a proven track record showing an eagerness to learn, ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide clear & concise stories beyond the numbers and data. Professionalism, a strategic mindset, and effective prioritization skills are also crucial to our individual and team's success.
How You Will Spend your Day:
- Partner with impact: You will partner with Customer Success Finance and budget owners to ensure accurate forecasts and recommend solutions for effectively managing spend.
- Financial Analysis: You will prepare periodic reporting and ad-hoc analyses to ensure data driven business decisions.
- Operational efficiencies: You will continuously drive efficiencies through automation and standardization of existing processes and deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a concise and comprehensive story of the business execution and strategy throughout the fiscal year
- Act as the main point of contact for the Customer Success Finance Senior Director and clearly communicate relevant information and viewpoints to ensure a consistent message and expectations
- Lead and support quarter-end activities, including preparing accruals, reporting landing positions, consolidating, and submitting group forecasts, and act as a liaison with other finance, HR, and business team members
- Track, analyze, and report spend and headcount trends to ensure forecast accuracy while informing stakeholders of risks and opportunities which enable them to make business decisions
- Partner with the other team members participating in, and leading, various projects focused on efficiencies, including building new models, revamping existing processes, and prepare ad-hoc analyses
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in forecasting and financial modeling using new technologies and tools, including dashboards, financial modeling software, and automation tools (Anaplan, Power BI, Power Query, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to build and maintain trust with team members and stakeholders
- Efficient time management abilities
- Adaptable and independent thinker
- High attention to detail and desire to drive process improvements
- Effective & concise communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with a variety of non-financial stakeholders
