We are hiring for a Customer Support Engineer located in the Hillsboro, OR area. The person will be responsible for supporting our US customers in the Advanced Packaging Business Unit. This role encompasses:
- Product installation, calibration and specification verifications
- Troubleshooting technical issues and performing necessary repairs
- Training the customer engineers in the use and maintaining of the equipment and
- Leading the technical interactions with the customer.
The candidate should have a strong technical background and customer service experience in semiconductor packaging. Experience with advanced packaging is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to working with highly advanced mechatronic machinery and strong communication skills are required.
While most of the customer support will be in the Hillsboro, OR area, occasional support at locations in other parts of the US will be required.

Main Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing of semiconductor packaging equipment
- Provides technical support in equipment installations, buyoffs and trainings
- Serve as a lead technical interface to customers
- Supports Application Engineer in design related issues
- Preparation of internal technical reports and customer presentations
- Willingness to travel domestically about 20%, occasional international travel possible
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong aptitude and deep understanding of highly advanced machinery; required
- Experience with flip chip, die attach or thermocompression bonding highly preferred
- Experience troubleshooting advanced machinery, use of oscilloscopes, etc.; required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; preferred
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with semiconductor packaging equipment; preferred
