Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 13 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

The Lead Data Analyst reviews and approves complex analytics and statistical modeling on large data sets that identify current market sector trends and customer patterns. This job directs the examination and identification of data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. The Lead Data Analyst oversees the collection of data sources, as well as the analysis and extraction of key data and information. This job also ensures that data quality meets the organization's information system needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Approves mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.
  • Analyzes and reviews trends found from modelling to inform other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.
  • Oversees data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential business decisions.
  • Develops and presents detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance, and investment management based on data summaries.
  • Analyzing results for multiple functions and communicating conclusions from complex models to a wide range of audiences.
  • Partners with other areas of the business to model outcome of implementing potential business strategies.
  • Manages large, complex projects or processes with limited oversight while working with other team members to ensure accurate findings and results.

Job Description

The National Contact Center (NCC) reporting team supports the contact center with their data, operational reporting, web based workflow applications, and web portals. This role is for a Full Stack PHP Developer that would support the NCC reporting team with data enablement.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Is responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining both web applications and ETL processes.

• Coordinate with data analysts, business analysts, IT staff, and business contacts to refine requests and translate complex requirements into actionable data.

• Being able to juggle multiple requests at once and judge which request to fulfill first, or seek management help for clarification.

• Inherit processes written by others with next to no documentation, and be able to figure out what is going on, how to maintain it, and evaluate if you think it needs improvements.

• The successful candidate should be:

o A self-starter, independent and be able to follow through with minimal instructions. This includes asking the right questions, based on your experience in software development.

o Have a passion for developing applications, reports, and other solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations

o Have a drive for continuous improvement. Being able to recognize patterns and/or collate different ideas from different people to envision something better.

o Able to create database tables to support your solution and factor in the need for normalization/denormalization.

Required

• 5+ years of PHP development

• 5+ years working with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and AJAX concepts

• 5+ years working with Oracle. SQL Server, mySQL, Teradata, and/or Hadoop database experience

• 5+ years of SQL experience, writing complex queries

• 2+ years of Python experience, including the Pandas library

• 1+ years of git version control

Preferred

• Experience with Docker containerization

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

Start Date: 20-Feb-2023

End Date: 31-Mar-2024

Travel Required: No

Base Pay Range: $77.14/hr. - $83.57/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
