Job Description
This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 12 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.
CW-Marketing Management
The Marketing Management job is responsible for promoting a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. This job manages large projects to develop and implement promotional campaigns and marketing plans, ensuring organizational marketing strategies and sales targets are met, while also drawing insights from market-related information to inform initiatives and identify areas of opportunity.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Researches and develops promotional campaigns and marketing plans to ensure organizational marketing strategies and sales targets are met; prepares recommendations for more senior team members and/or management.
- Directs promotional campaigns, ensuring the organization's message is effectively delivered; reviews and approves promotional materials creation, compilation, and distribution, and approves determined ad placement.
- Communicates recommendations to management regarding modifications to improve products and services and/or marketing approaches, based on analysis of business results of recently introduced or enhanced products and services as well as analysis of market-related information.
- Conducts additional qualitative or quantitative research as needed for market positioning, such as pricing, market assessment, or promotional and advertising research studies.
- Develops relationships with related outside entities to maintain good public relations with customers.
- Communicates with existing and potential clients and suppliers to explore and document opportunities to increase sales and profitability for designated new products and services, enhancements and initiatives.
- Partners with sales team to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies.
- Delegates to lower level professionals, reviews work, and provides guidance and coaching as needed.

Senior Association Lead, Strategic Client Engagement
Senior association lead, Strategic Client Engagement is a client facing role whose duties will be to develop, manage and lead the relationships with higher education and other associations where TIAA clients and prospective clients are members of to ensure TIAA is strategically positioned and highlighted at the highest levels to retain and drive new business. A key responsibility will be developing and deepening relationships with the association and other organizations to expand relationships with clients and prospects. A deep understanding of higher education/ Not for Profit and retirement/finance/investment is required. Duties will include building strong partnerships with business units across TIAA and Nuveen, including TIAA Retirement Services, Marketing, Retail Financial Services, the TIAA Institute, Institutional Product and Strategy and Human Resources to name a few. This role requires a self-driven and self-motivated individual who thrives with minimum supervision. The individual must be capable of taking the enterprise TIAA/Nuveen Strategy and incorporating it into the Strategic Client Engagement association strategy to drive business results and enhance relationships with existing clients and build relationships with prospective clients. Creativity, perseverance, driving results and emotional intelligence are desired attributes for success in this role. Additionally, the individual will need to enjoy working in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and to drive successful business outcomes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the primary relationship manager for the association relationship while engaging directly with the president, and the association leadership team. Develop strategic plans based on TIAA/Nuveen Enterprise strategy to enhance relationships with association leadership to advance TIAA/Nuveen outcomes (sales/retention) with the members. Work closely with the Executive Committee and Executive Leadership Group to strategically showcase their expertise and the TIAA brand in the marketplace. Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively across the TIAA/Nuveen organization - TFS, Marketing, Product Development and Strategy, Nuveen, HR - to support organizational goals and execute on the strategy. Be the eyes and ears of TIAA in the industry and bring back industry intelligence to keep TIAA informed of developments. Develop strong relationships in the industry to help advance the TIAA brand. Support the sales teams by providing leads for TIAA products to keep TIAA informed of developments. Develop strong relationships in the industry to help advance the TIAA brand
Required Qualifications:
- Five plus years of analytical skills to drive business outcomes
- Five plus years of deep knowledge of the retirement/financial industry
- Five plus years of working knowledge of the many products and services TIAA offers
- Five plus years of experience communicating with the C-Suite executive such as CEOs, College Presidents, CFOs
- Five plus years of strong communication skills (oral, interpersonal, and written), negotiating, networking and listening skills
Preferred Qualification:
- Ability to build multiple relationships internally and externally and connect key people and strategies.
- Ability to represents the enterprise at external and internal events.
- Ability to lead, motivate and collaborate with associates at all levels throughout the organization
