This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 10 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.
CW-Lead Business Systems Analyst
The Lead Business System Analyst oversees the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job is responsible for managing large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
- Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
- Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
- Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
- Engages client teams and explains complex security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
- Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
- Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower level professionals.

This is a hybrid role and locations are Chicago, Denver, Charlotte, New Jersey, New York, and Dallas.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interact with Compliance business partners, vendors, various IT teams, and leadership
- Deliver data integration and automation efforts supporting Office Inspections, Monitoring, and Surveillance team in gathering requirements and analyzing data to identify automation opportunities to minimize manual processes. team in gathering requirements and analyzing data to identify automation opportunities to minimize manual processes.
- Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate different data sources in Oracle, snowflake and big data. Familiarity with Safe Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence and Programming skills in Snowflake, SQL, JAVA, Python, Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI are preferred.
- Develop a strong understanding of business requirements, processes and complex data patterns to implement quality technical solutions and data strategies that meet business needs and align with technology standards
- Gather functional requirements, complete data mappings, and evaluate toolsets to provide tool recommendations for workflow, automation, and data flow solutions.
- Report project status, identify and communicate risks, issues, changes and proposed solutions to project management and leadership.
- Provide estimates and logical work plans, including detailed work tasks and dependencies, to deliver applications on time and within budget that meet or exceed quality standards
- Lead Team of offshore developers to develop, test, implement and document new application, processes, data flows, and reporting metrics.
- Provides full life cycle analysis, support and complex problem resolution that meets customer requirements and SLAs.
- Possesses a working knowledge of end-to-end business and IT processes related to one or more applications.
- Work as part of an IT support team with other technology leaders, development staff and technical/business analysts to create technical solutions.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with Compliance technology systems related to Registration and Licensing, Call Monitoring, Office Inspections, Monitoring, and Surveillance
- Experience with and knowledge of Office Inspections, Monitoring, and Surveillance, Registration and Licensing, and Call Monitoring business processes
- Experience working with offshore teams in a team based agile environment using Agile toolsets (JIRA, Confluence)
- Hands on ability to work with business partners and vendors to gather and convey requirements across cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.)
- Experience handling multiple inflight efforts in parallel
- Application analysis and production issue resolution
- Detail oriented and deadline / deliverable focused
- Team player
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI tools and solutions
- Experience with deploy tools (Serena) and source control repositories (Git)
- Experience with Data System integration tools and databases (Oracle, SQL, Data Lake Solutions and ETL toolsets) with ability to write queries using SQL, joins, execute DDL/DMLs, query tuning etc.
- Knowledge of batch processing tools (TWS, Autosys, etc.) and experience with migrations
- Experience with Reporting technologies (SSRS, Tableau, OBIEE)
- Experience with automated authorization management and secure privilege access tools (Sailpoint, Cyberark, SSO, PING, etc.)
- Experience defining user interfaces for reporting dashboards

Base Pay Range: $63.46/hr. - $73.57/hr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
