Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 10 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Information Systems Analyst III

The Info Systems Analyst designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Formulating and defining the system scope and objectives, based on user needs and business processes.
  • Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
  • Directing business process improvement projects for internal business groups, aiming to improve business results.
  • Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Identifying and documenting all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
  • Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Providing recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues, for a specific business group.
  • Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
  • Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
  • Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
  • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

Summary:

TIAA is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join a Production Support team supporting our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) System. The analyst is expected to scale up quickly and join an existing production support team in supporting critical applications. The candidate will need to be able to work independently as well as interface with multiple external teams. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of supporting critical application in a large corporate environment, financial services is a Plus. The candidate must be highly organized with good communication skills so as to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The primary objectives of this position is to drive platform stability via comprehensive technical support, leveraging ITIL based Incident and problem management, and continuous automation to streamline manual intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on Production issues and to provide timely diagnostics, recommendations and resolution.
  • Interface with upstream and downstream applications and business operations teams on issues and problems.
  • Identify areas of improvement in end user support, implementing automation and monitoring
  • Able to interpret and appropriately triage IT issues reported by users
  • Create monitoring dashboards and individual monitoring tests to ensure timely notification of production issues
  • Learn new technologies as requested
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after hours issues as needed.

Required Skills

  • 3 or more years experiencing supporting enterprise wide critical applications in a fast paced environment. Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • 3 or more years Development/support experience in Java using Spring Framework platform
  • 3 or more years Development/support experience in Microservices using containerization and cloud technologies.
  • 3 or more years working with Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience Database CRUD operations for problem solving, reports and restarting jobs
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace or Grafana
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) of complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with enterprise Content Management (ECM) Systems - Mobius preferred
  • Experience with containerization and OpenShift
  • Experience with scripting and automation - ie Batch, Postman, or Powershell
  • Experience with ITIL applications such as ServiceNow
  • Proficiency with Webserver technology, Apache Tomcat preferred
  • Experience with network load balancing such as F5
  • Ability to handle complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes
  • Ability to work with multiple business and IT partners in a production support and/or development role
  • Detailed oriented and collaborative

Base Pay Range: $74.13/hr. - $86.09/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
