Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 12 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Project/Program Management Analyst V
The ProjectProg Mgmt job plans, organizes, and controls resources/processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. This job is recognized as an expert in the field of Project Management and is responsible for managing the organization's largest and most complex projects.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Organizes large project teams by assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements necessary to ensure project is successful.
  • Estimates the costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of large and/or complex projects and allocates resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met.
  • Establishes project plan and monitors progress and performance against this plan.
  • Monitors the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.
  • Identifies and resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
  • Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  • Coordinates the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Liaises with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.

Responsibilities:

The Solution Train Engineer (STE) is a servant leader and coach for the Solution Train. The STEs major responsibilities are to facilitate the major events and processes, and assist the teams in delivering value. STEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.

The STE facilitates and guides the work of all Solution Trains, Agile Release Trains, and Suppliers in the Value Stream.

Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Trains using various tools, such as the Solution Kanbans.
  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Solution Backlogs, Solution Kanbans, Solution Trains, Solution Demos, and Program Increments (PIs).
  • Facilitate Solution Planning and PI Planning readiness via fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and via Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.
  • Facilitate the Solution Planning and PI Planning event.
  • Aggregate into Solution PI Objectives, Program PI Objectives, and Team PI Objectives (and publish them for visibility and transparency).
  • Aggregate program PI objectives into Solution PI Objectives (the STE) and publish them for visibility and transparency.
  • Assist with execution and Capability and Capability-Enablers completion tracking.
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the Solution Train and Agile Release Train synchronization at the value stream sync for Large Solution Level and Program Level.
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating Capability and Capability-Enablers estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.
  • Coach leaders, other Solution Train Engineers, Release Train Engineers, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Help manage risks and dependencies.
  • Escalate and track impediments.
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
  • Encourage collaboration between Solution and System Architects/Engineering and Agile Teams.
  • Work with Solution and Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
  • Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle.
  • Report status to Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and support related activities.
  • Understand and operate within Lean Budgets.
  • Facilitate Solution Demos and System Demos.
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the Solution Train, Agile Release Train, and Agile Teams help improve lean and agile thinking.
  • Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-in Quality practices.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent in a related field such as information technology, computer science, or business administration.
  • 2+ years of direct professional experience as a SAFe Solutions Manager or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • SAFe Certified


Preferred
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of business organization and management.
  • Knowledge of the organization and functions of an information technology business operation
  • Ability to research, analyze, make recommendations, and evaluate technical requirements, functions, processes, and code to improve software development and facilitate the development of software solutions.
  • Ability to express and present ideas effectively orally and in writing.
  • Must be highly proficient in problem solving and have strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interface/communicate professionally with management and other employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Ability to handle and meet multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Knowledge of Marketing Technology stack preferred

Potential Salary: $91.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
