Job Description

Position: Cyber IT Security Engineer

Location: New York (Onsite)

• Technology
  • SPLUNK Engineer, Query and dashboard creation
  • The Hive or other SOAR (Security Orchestration Automation and Response) or comparable workflow tool sets.
  • Power Platform experience (PowerApps, PowerBI, Powe Query etc) for the purpose of development of metrics and measurement tools for security processes.
  • Knowledge of application security frameworks and best practices.

Soft Skills

• • Coordinate Plans of action and Milestones to remediate security related findings
  • Strong coordination with teams overseas to integrate local performance metrics into PowerBi to extend and improve our metrics
  • Very strong written skills
  • Knowledge of IT/Operational risk frameworks and the ability to prioritize findings and projects based on a realistic and demonstrable risk based approach.

What You’ll Bring with You 

• 5+ years’ experience in IT Security and 5-10 years experience in IT engineering/Support
• Proficient in using Microsoft office with advanced data management skills.
• Working experience in financial industry is a plus
• Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills are essential 
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, make sound decisions in emergency situations
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• The candidate should be a self-starter, be able to work with minimal supervision, properly and effectively communicate project/work status to management and peers, take full ownership and responsibility of the tasks assigned to her/him and work them through completion
