Roles & Responsibilities:

The Cyber Security Administrator will work diligently to help secure our organization's Information Assets by helping with our governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) assessments, remediating vulnerabilities and risks in networks and software systems, and monitoring and maintaining data and software systems. In this role, your goal is to help protect our information assets, including our sensitive data. You also help ensure compliance with information security protocols.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Monitor and secure information assets, including all hardware and software components.
  • Monitor and investigate security events and incidents, including access activities.
  • Perform, analyze, document, and mitigate vulnerability scans.
  • Implement and manage
  • Ensure employee devices, servers and networks are secure including helping employees and contractors install and maintain computing resources.
  • Upgrade existing cybersecurity systems tied to email and network security to improve risk score metric.
  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources including creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and training artifacts.
  • Threat hunting and monitoring
  • Monitor and report third-party service providers' compliance posture.
  • Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends.
  • Partner with IT and functional stakeholders to execute workstreams within the cybersecurity program involving 3rd party business systems, enterprise applications and unified SSO
  • Provide and/or coordinate IT support for Podimetrics staff as needed

Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, programming, database administration, or a related field
  • Familiarity with IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, incident response, vulnerability management programs
  • Proficient or able to gain proficiency with a broad array of security technologies
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity-related solutions and strategies, including firewalls, encryption and authentication and authorization
  • Proficient knowledge of cloud computing, such as AWS and GCP/Workspace
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.
  • Proficiency with any of the following: Anti-Virus, HIPS, ID/PS, Full Packet Capture, Host-Based Forensics, Network Forensics, and RSA Security.
  • Understanding of mobile technology and OS (i.e. Android, iOS, Windows), Hyper-V & VMWare technology, Unix and basic Unix commands.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
