Job Description

The successful candidate will support the multiple M&S systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and update the system Security Control Traceability Matrix in accordance with System Security Plan.
  • Develop and staff the assessment and authorization (A&A) package and participate in A&A activities for assigned systems.
  • Manage and control changes to the system and assess the security impact of those changes.
  • Coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the SCA and AO/AODR prior to the change.
  • Document approved system changes in eMASS and update artifacts within the Body of Evidence to accurately reflect current configuration of the systems.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package.
  • Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the information systems.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package and execute a continuous monitoring plan.
  • Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
  • Ensure audit records are collected and reviewed.
  • Implement and maintain ATO packages under RMF 2.0.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with System Administrators, ISSO's, ISSM office, Physical Security, users, customers, and partners on cybersecurity matters.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years experience.
  • Experience with DoD/USAF information security policy background with practical / hands-on experience applying RMF / JSIG processes and principles.
  • Experience developing and/or contributing to an RMF body of evidence composition, applicable artifacts, and associated control families.
  • Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning software use (ACAS, Evaluate-STIG, ESS, Fortify SSC, etc.), and ability to analyze and report the results.
  • Ability to support couriering of assets and maintain chain of custody documentation.
  • Familiarity with AF systems and PC requirements (i.e., a working knowledge of applicable directives and policies governing information systems).
  • Ability to apply Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs) configuration settings to Linux and Windows operating systems and network devices.
  • Willingness to assess and help implement new technologies related to Cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and DEVSECOPS pipeline.
  • Understanding of COMSEC, EMSEC, and TEMPEST regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with static code analysis tools and software testing and evaluation process
  • Experience using eMASS to report and manage an Authorization to Operate package for an information system.
  • In-depth knowledge of administering Linux, Windows, Networking, Virtualization, and Containerization information systems.
  • Understanding of configuration management tools and processes.

Required Certification:

  • Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-III certification (CISSP, CASP+, etc); applicant must maintain currency of same.

Required Clearance:

  • Active / Valid DoD Secret clearance; applicant must maintain clearance in active/valid status.
