Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Cyber Security Operations and Monitoring Manager to join our Cyber Security organization.

Position Summary:

The Cyber Security Operations and Monitoring Manager is responsible for leading the Cyber Monitoring Analysis and SOC teamsS/heserves as technical information security expert and as a contributor to cross functional teams for deployment and support of security specific infrastructure enhancements. This position interprets business and technical requirements into security solutions and designs that are consistent with the current information security architecture. Manages the threat landscape. Expected to be a subject matter expect (SME) that can contribute to internal and external dialogues on cyber security. Performs ethical hacking (white hat), provides security analysis on new architecture design on new technologies as well as provide high-level security engineering for web applications. Will also assist project managers to document portal architecture scope, objectives, plan and added value or benefit expectations, using integrated set of architecture and development best practices.

Responsibilities include:

Security and Systems Architecture:

  • Evaluate/perform testing (ethical hacking) security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed
  • Perform security review, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan
  • Analyze system architecture, network design, security test procedures, vulnerability data, and design documentation to identify and address system security weaknesses

Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Monitor systems for security gaps, design effective solutions and provide reports to senior management
  • Review security-related events, assessing risk and validity, as well as reporting
  • Run cyber security risk assessments, test data processing systems, monitor use of data files and design firewalls
  • Identify solutions to mitigate or reduce business exposure to information security risks

Research and Development:

  • Conduct research to maintain and expand knowledge on the latest security technologies and standards, as well as the threat and vulnerability landscape
  • Work with security vendors to understand their solution offerings and advise clients on appropriate technologies

Candidate Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of eight years of direct experience with network security, threat and vulnerability management, security analysis and incident handling, data loss prevention, application security, and data protection, network design, information technology risk and security compliance (including information security assessment), audit, security controls implementation, and software development.
  • Solid understanding of security architecture, policies, and security capabilities
  • Preferred cyber security certification: CISSP, CISSM, GIAC, CISA
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $210,000, which is specific to New York, NY and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
