Cybersecurity Engineer

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to help execute and grow its portfolio of externally-funded Cyber Security R&D programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical accomplishments, Government R&D program execution, team leadership and oversight, and business capture.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide technical leadership of Cyber Security R&D projects
• Execute Principal Investigator (PI) responsibilities (e.g., staffing, deliverables, schedule, finances)
• Lead, mentor, and grow project teams
• Manage customer relationships
• Technical marketing of Two Six Labs Cyber Security services and capabilities to new and existing Government R&D clients
• Lead the capture of new R&D programs

The successful candidate will have:

• A strong foundational knowledge of offensive and defensive cyber security fundamentals, with emphasis on at least one of the following: vulnerability research, reverse engineering, program analysis, cyber capability development, or formal methods
• Past performance as a Principal Investigator or Technical Lead on fast-paced, innovation-driven, advanced technology R&D projects for Government clients
• Experience setting a research agenda (formulate problem, hypotheses, and experimental approaches)
• Experience leading and mentoring research teams composed of scientists and engineers
• Experience capturing Government R&D contracts/programs

Minimum Qualifications:

• A four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in cyber security, software engineering, or related technical domain
• Ten or more years of professional experience in a similar role
• Cybersecurity domain experience and knowledge
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Nice If You Have: 

• An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related technical domainExperience with agile software development practices
• Experience developing security solutions and product
• Experience with microservice technologies, to include docker, Kubernetes, message queues, and RESTful APIs
• Experience leading teams in a rapid prototype environment demonstrating scalable architectures
• Proven experience leading a rapidly growing team
• An active security clearance

• Eligibility for a Security clearance
