We are actively seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer resident for our SĂŁo Paulo office.
Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer reports to the Cybersecurity Engineering Manager, and is responsible for ensuring that our corporate enterprise systems are designed to meet or exceed industry security standards. The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and recommending a security framework for all of Rimini Street’s systems which include networks, servers, end points, and applications. The Cybersecurity Engineer will be required to constantly evaluate new security risks, threats and vulnerabilities and lead the team in remediation efforts and will act as incident point of contact as required and as appropriate. The Cybersecurity Engineer will create security project plans for the most complex projects, prepare documentation, and partner with all business units to help drive to delivery. In addition, the Cybersecurity Engineer will work jointly with other Security Analyst and Cybersecurity Engineering Manager, along with other operational teams to coordinate, facilitate and effectively implement security policies and compliance across the enterprise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities that may impact the company
- Perform forensics on network, host, memory, and other artifacts originating from multiple operating systems, applications, or networks and extract Indicators of Compromise
- Analyze and recommend security controls and procedures in procurement and development of IT software/applications
- Monitor information systems for vulnerabilities while continuing the development of monitoring and visibility capabilities
- Investigate, document, and report recommendations with the latest cyber threats, potential impacting threats, and emerging trends
- Perform technical assessments and research security incidents, including countermeasure analysis, and work with external business units on responses
- Assist remediation effort resulting from penetration tests, vulnerability scans, security events/incidents, and other incidents
- Act as an escalation point to provide technical guidance and expertise to security systems and operations
- Provide consulting services to the business with proof of concepts, enterprise application reviews, and other project initiatives that requires support from Security
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field or equivalent experience
Location

Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in security architecture and engineering
Skills
- Strong technical skills in security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, email security, and SIEMs
- Knowledge of cloud security architecture and services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Fluent English
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls a plus
- CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications are a plus
