Eaton has an opening for Engineering Manager - Cybersecurity.This position will be based in Moon Township, PA.

The Engineering Manager Cybersecurity will be part of a global team of security experts in driving the cybersecurity initiative for Eaton's product solutions.

The work itself:
  • Leading a team of engineers, a cybersecurity architect and responsible for global cybersecurity growth initiatives and platforms deployments
  • Develop cybersecurity engineers on the team and help them grow in their careers by supporting them in defining strategic goals, planning tasks, and reviewing security platform issues
  • Working with the rest of the team and division architects to ensure we have a long-term technical vision in place, and supporting them in developing and delivering on their cybersecurity objectives
  • Driving and enabling the cybersecurity champions in the Division's engineering team to modernize cybersecurity workloads and adopt DevSecOps best practices
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for security application and platforms that operate within our products/solutions platforms and hybrid environments globally
  • Focus on standardization, suitability, and integration of existing and new technology to maximize security capabilities, minimize spend, and provide best-in-class technology services to our internal customers
  • Providing strategic risk guidance for critical projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls for integration of security into product development lifecycle
  • Building a world-class cybersecurity team by hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and managing direct reports
  • Identify and drive partnerships that can address current challenges and industry positioning.
  • Occasionally act as customer-facing SME, answering questions and inspiring confidence

Qualifications

The skills you bring:

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in computer science/security or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of directly related experience including subject matter expertise in Security Engineering and Architecture
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing security engineering teams
  • Experience handling several technical projects across various stakeholders
  • Experience with DevSecOps frame work

Preferred Experience
  • CISSP or equivalent security certification or training
  • Familiarity with one of the technical standards and industry & regulatory requirements (e.g.: IEC 62443, NIST, UL2900, NERC - CIP etc.)
  • Experience securing a large infrastructure deployment on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Experience building sustainable processes
  • Experience in the energy industry, or with similar critical infrastructure.

  • Ability to influence and work with various technical leads in different organizations.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities.
  • Ability to interface directly with executives and other senior leaders of different business units.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts and present to Business Unit leaders.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across global development teams.
