The Security and Mission Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit provides discriminating support to the business to ensure success. We focus on threat identification, risk assessment, and mitigation while improving the efficiency of the business through effective governance and analysis of process, data and overall business knowledge.
Cybersecurity Professional Principal - Security Architect
What You'll Do:

• Design and implement security architecture elements.
• Actively participate in application, infrastructure, and Software as a Service (SaaS) projects.
• Coordinate with the Cyber Security Operations and Threat Intelligence groups as well as other Security-related groups.
• Identify security gaps and improvements in the current architecture and product configurations.
• Create security requirements.
• Perform literature review and present on the latest cybersecurity research.
• Evaluate security technologies, tools and services, and help build the security product roadmap.
• Coordinate with security product vendors.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:

• BS/BA in a related field plus 14 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, including with diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures, including mitigation techniques.
• Network (Security) Engineering background.
• Azure cloud platform experience.
• Excellent understanding of security industry standards and compliance (e.g. NIST SP 800-53).
• CISSP or related information security certification.

Hybrid Work Environment: This position may be performed working from both the office and another location, while typically requiring working in the office less than 3 days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $124,500 - $172,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
