Job Description:
As a Cybersecurity Cloud Specialist/SME, you will play a pivotal role in elevating cybersecurity practices within cloud environments. Your expertise in continuous monitoring, risk management, and process automation will contribute to the security and efficiency of cloud information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Monitoring Gap Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of the Continuous Monitoring in the Cloud. Review industry best practices and standards related to Cloud Continuous Monitoring. Evaluate Change Management in the Cloud, including automation techniques. Assess third-party services (e.g., Qualys) for enhanced vulnerability management. Review IRMs, policies, and procedures pertaining to Continuous Monitoring in the Cloud. Document the current state of Continuous Monitoring policies and procedures. Identify gaps and recommend improvement activities, including policy enhancements.
- Cloud Project Support: Provide pre and post Authorization to Operate (ATO) support to cloud systems. Assist cloud systems in following the cloud/security authorization processes, including Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Support implementation and monitoring of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Cybersecurity PMO Process Automation: Evaluate and recommend tools and services to enhance program’s efficiency. Assist in the implementation of selected tools. Develop and maintain metrics for process evaluation. Explore options for automating current processes, including continuous monitoring. Contribute to cloud inventory management and measure program’s service effectiveness.
- Transition Activities: Facilitate knowledge transfer of technical skills and lessons learned to the customer. Document and transfer operations and maintenance processes and procedures. Provide complete documentation for all delivered functionalities. Transfer configurable data, including usernames, passwords, and application settings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security, continuous monitoring, and process automation.
- Working knowledge of Cloud/Security IT implementation rules and regulations to include NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, etc.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and cloud security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex technical concepts.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Minimum Eligibility:
- Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for at least three (3) years, and Federal Tax compliant.
