Job Overview:

Safe-Guard Products is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Rates and Forms to join our Rates and Forms Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, a proven track record of managing analytical projects, and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. The Manager, Rates and Forms will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

As the Manager, Rates and Forms, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of Business Analysts (BAs) and Project Managers and collaborating with the business to ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects across multiple clients simultaneously. Your expertise in managing people in an IT/Business Processing environment, solution-oriented mindset, and SQL abilities will be instrumental in improving processes to increase efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts (BAs) and Project Managers within the Rates and Forms Department, fostering their professional growth, monitoring their performance, and ensuring their engagement and productivity.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines, and effectively translate them into actionable plans for the team.
  • Conduct complex data analyses using statistical methods and advanced analytical tools to extract meaningful insights.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data, providing actionable recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Oversee the successful execution of multiple projects across various clients simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business goals and formulate a data analysis strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Foster effective collaboration and coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and optimal resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance the quality of deliverables within the Rates and Forms Department.
  • Utilize SQL abilities to extract and analyze data, provide insights and validate project quality.
  • Communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into decision-making processes.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, employing problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure project success.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management, IT management, and business analysis to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a data analysis role, with a focus on managerial responsibilities
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Postgres SQL, Snowflake) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in managing people, preferably in an IT or Transactions Business Process environment
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Close attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a solution-oriented approach to driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • In-depth knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Familiarity with rates and forms management within the insurance industry is a plus
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check

Job Preferences:

  • Experience within Automotive, Insurance, Legal, Banking or Financial Industry preferred
  • Six Sigma Certification
