ABOUT THE POSITION
Xpansiv Managed Solutions is the premier company for monetizing Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team at Xpansiv. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Managed Solutions business unit by providing reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations, helping our business support the adoption of renewable energy and combat climate change.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis to identify patterns and trends that support data-based decision-makingÂ
- Build valuation models at varying levels of scale to answer questions such as financial viability over different time horizons and competitivenessÂ
- Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable throughout its lifecycle by analyzing computer-generated reports and outputsÂ
- Identify customer trends and gaps, monitor and analyze customer engagement, and forecast usage impactsÂ
- Conduct time based (e.g. monthly, quarterly) market analysisÂ
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenueÂ
- Research product and feature ideas, recommending data collection methods, and validating hypotheses with dataÂ
- Build an understanding of the data that is accessible across different repositoriesÂ
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectivelyÂ
- Teach colleagues how to pull data and insights, and develop tools that allow others to access business insightsÂ
- Develop semi-automated tools to meet regulatory compliance or to keep strategic business reports up to dateÂ
- Design scripts and tools to automatically extract large volumes of data from websites or other digital sources, improving efficiency and availabilityÂ
- Utilize SQL or other database languages to understand and extract data from our platform
- Maintain a general understanding of the IT systems and their connectionsÂ
Requirements
- 3+ years of work experience in data analysis or a related fieldÂ
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline, or related experienceÂ
- Exhibit analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness
- Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities; be able to simplify complex data insights for audiences without a technical backgroundÂ
- Proven self-starter who knows how to keep the right people informed of your progressÂ
- Solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS), data analysis languages including SQL (as well as Python or R), and experience with BI/visualization tools (such as Snowflake, Tableau, Amplitude, Looker, Sisense, PowerBI)Â
- Results oriented, focused, and self-reliantÂ
- Clean energy background is a plusÂ
