Ardent is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team.  

This is a remote role.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Data Scientist to support a new contract for OCRSO. They have many datasets they are looking to integrate and apply AI/ML and other advanced analytics to. Ultimately identifying new insights from the data to assist in incident management and reconstitution. This project will be providing answers to yet unknown questions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI/ML tools, techniques, and approaches to be able to support a vast array of capabilities. As there is a large geospatial component, experience applying AI/ML to geospatial datasets is a plus. 

This is a great opportunity to lead a strong technical team in the implementation of cutting-edge data science and geospatial technologies supporting a critical and life-saving mission.  This project is in support of the OCRSO (Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer), developing data, dashboarding, and GIS solutions to assist the ORCSO in understanding and responding to emergency incidents. The scope of work involves stakeholder engagement, data governance, data science and engineering, and data analysis and reporting.  

Requirements:

• Master's Degree
• 10+ years of experience
• Experience with managing deeply technical teams in the data science, data analytics, and Geospatial Data fields 
• Ability to manage multiple levels of external stakeholders when establishing requirements and prioritization 
• Strong experience in the AI/ML field 
• Comfortable working with executive stakeholders

Preferred:

• Experience leading teams implementing GIS solutions with ArcGIS
• Previous experience supporting DHS HQ
• Existing DHS EOD
