Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
- Perform in-depth analysis of clinical trial data, including safety and efficacy endpoints, adverse events, and patient outcomes.
- Assist in managing the quality of data and other information (e.g., study protocols, reports) developed to assess and report on the performance of funded clinical research portfolio.
Data Visualization:
- Create clear and informative data visualizations, graphs, and dashboards to present key findings to DSMB members and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to data management resources under the designated area of responsibility to ensure effective execution of roles and responsibilities.
Quality Control:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by conducting thorough quality control checks and data validation processes.
- Identify, report, and resolve clinical study data related issues that affect data quality and impede the data import process.
Trend Analysis:
- Monitor key study metrics using tracking tools, providing timely and quality updates
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in clinical trial data that may require further investigation or action.
- Assume accountability for data integrity and transparency of metrics/analytics reports from data management team.
Reporting:
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for DSMB meetings, regulatory submissions, and other purposes as needed.
- Interface with client, program/project staff, external stakeholders via multiple modalities; i.e., emails, teleconference meetings etc.
Communication:
- Collaborate with DSMB members and clinical investigators to communicate data findings, answer questions, and provide insights during meetings.
- Conduct client-facing meetings with a focus on delivering exemplary customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Anticipate and respond to client needs and provide accurate and timely status updates.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and results.
- Independently validate work products and deliverables before QA and reconcile inconsistencies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry best practices in clinical trial data analysis and contribute to process improvements within the DSMB team.
- Prepare various performance reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Data Management:
- Assist in the management of data repositories and databases used for DSMB activities.
- Abstract information that involves protocol or contact/site activities and appropriate the data into the correct databases to support clinical trials.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of data analysis experience, with a preference for clinical research, clinical trial or healthcare backgrounds.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, emphasizing problem-solving and process enhancement.
- Providing visualizations using software such as Tableau
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling rapid relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in facilitation, complemented by outstanding presentation capabilities.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities, demonstrating autonomy with minimal supervision.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, including precise proofreading abilities.
- Effective negotiator, capable of achieving consensus among competing priorities, diverse stakeholders, and disparate objectives.
