Job Opportunity:

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about data and delivering insights on that data to help organizations thrive, grow, and make data driven decisions. As a young organization we need people who love change, ask good questions, and bring new ideas to how our technology solutions can add value. This individual will be part of a high performing team that has made mentoring an integral part of the team dynamic and leaves no one behind.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create reports and visualizations for internal teams and/or external clients using an agile methodology.
• Collaborate with teammates to collect and analyze data
• Structure large datasets to find usable information
• Perform analysis to assess quality of data and fix corrupted data.
• Work with ETL pipelines to move and manipulate data as needed
• Help to identify and drive business process and establish a data analysis practice
• Work as a productive member of a cohesive team

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• 0 - 5 years of experience in data analytics
• A passion for learning with proven technical aptitude, problem solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment interacting with people of diverse cultures and experience.
• Independently motivated with a "team player" mentality and an ability to multi-task while maintaining focus on key deliverables.
• Reporting and data visualization skills
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and release processes
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Experience in data modeling
