Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Management:
- Assist with data warehousing procedures
- Assist with day-to-day management of data exchanges and data collection from vendors and insurance carriers
- Ensure data quality and integrity through regular data audits and validation processes
- Assist with maintenance of SQL databases
Analysis:
- Organize and prepare datasets and spreadsheets for analysis
- Analyze and interpret trends using statistical (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.) and visualization (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs
- Work with the Stephens InsurTech team to develop analytical frameworks to respond to data inquiries
Reporting:
- Assist with the development of reports, dashboards, and client presentations
- Develop, maintain, and improve data visualization tools and dashboards to present complex data in an easy-to-understand manner for internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in team discussions around analytical insights
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization to continuously improve and innovate our processes
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree required; and 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python, or similar)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and best practices in data visualization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with the insurance industry, its products, and services is a plus
