Data Analyst
Job Description
C.H. Robinson is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will apply your business acumen and technical skills to develop cutting-edge analytical solutions. This position is located in Eden Prairie, MN and offers a flexible work environment with a blend of in-person and work-from-home options.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex queries by extracting and interpreting data.
- Create reports and conduct additional analyses to support company initiatives and measurement efforts
- Proactively analyze data, make fact-based recommendations for process improvements, and drive behavioral changes
- Develop and customize reports using business acumen and become a subject matter expert to guide new report development
- Translate complex findings into clear, professional presentations
- Conduct quality assurance tests on reports and dashboards, including UAT as appropriate
- Collaborate with internal analytical teams to develop data-driven solutions
- Provide data-driven insights to inform leadership and customers, enhancing decision-making
- Network, build relationships, and provide consulting to implement data solutions.
- Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned based on team and/or country-specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of 2 years of previous analytics experience, involving the development of business solutions using comprehensive and robust data assets
- Intermediate proficiency with SQL
- Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Intermediate proficiency with SQL
- Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and Microsoft Office-related tools (PowerPivot/PowerBI)
- Basic knowledge of a programming language such as Python and/or R
- An analytics or supply chain degree
- Expert proficiency with T-SQL
- Experience using advanced third-party analytical tools (QlikView, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Exposure to Navisphere, Navisphere Analytics, and NAST Analytics 2.0
- An organized individual with strong self and project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and influence
- Comfortable working autonomously but willing to seek guidance
- Proven ability to think creatively to develop a data model or perspective to address challenging business problems or scenarios
- Creates a comfortable, open-minded environment for conversations with those seeking information, guidance, or analytical collaboration
- An effective communicator and data/reporting/business liaison through multiple mediums
- A willing teacher/mentor who also responds positively to feedback from leaders and colleagues
