The Role
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to enhance the performance of our educational data sets by processing and analyzing data from multiple data systems. In this role, you’ll be scrappy and be able to roll up your sleeves and dig deep into our complex data challenges. You will develop automated spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards to synthesize findings into actionable insights for educators and educational leaders. This position sits on the Edulastic team, a team that puts every student on the path to success by identifying learning gaps, and helps students learn and to measure growth all in one easy platform. What You'll Do
- Ingest, process and automate data processing from different types of sources
- Develop compelling reports, data visualizations, and dashboards that enable educators to discern key patterns in student performance as well as intervention and student groups.
- Partner with customer support teams to understand educator analytics needs and ask clarifying questions of educators and customer support representatives
- Drive quantitative data analysis from broad data sets including focus on identifying students for intervention based on various criteria.
- Discern learning outcomes from quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Communicate insights and findings to stakeholders that engage the appropriate audiences and convey information in a concise, timely, and understandable format
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (math, statistics, experimental sciences, computer science, etc.)
- Advanced SQL skills and 1+ years of experience running complex queries on large data sets
- 2+ years of experience building dashboards in Tableau
- Prior experience working with multiple stakeholders on high-visibility projects
- Bonus if you have: Experience working with K-12 schools
