Data Analyst

In partnership with Vanguard's Financial Advisor Services (FAS) organization, the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) is embarking on a critical transformation to reimagine how data and analytics drive FAS's vision of being the "advisor to the advisor."

CDAO works closely with business partners across FAS to provide insight on clients and client interactions. Our vision is to deliver data-driven solutions that inform every decision and enable us to know and anticipate our clients' needs, in order to provide the right products and services at the right time. Data and analytics are at the heart of activating this vision, allowing us to enhance the advisor experience, streamline operations, and expand our repertoire of features and services.

This role will support and maintain our data visualization strategy, fostering strong insight through the form of self-service solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders and collaborate with peers to develop and/or maintain dashboards that help answer critical, foundational business questions. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in data visualization and business intelligence tools like Tableau. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the suite of Tableau products (desktop, prep, server, etc.) and data visualization best practices. Furthermore, this candidate should be comfortable dealing with project ambiguity and should possess strong communication and consultative skills.

This role:

• Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
• Prepares and delivers visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
• Collaborates with other analysts to consult on or assist with dashboard design.
• Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads projects through completion.
• Manages and facilitates the data visualization strategy amongst data analytics team.
• Coaches, trains, and develops other data analysts on data visualization. Proactively expands knowledge of business and analytics and shares with team members. Shares and documents best practices.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Special factors: This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays - Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from one of our offices in Malvern PA, Charlotte NC and Scottsdale, AZ.
