ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Data Analyst is responsible for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Gather, examine, and analyze large sets of data from multiple sources in order to define and diagnose different patterns for data manipulation
- Verify, monitor, and optimize data exchanges between Waystar and our clients
- Mange data integrity by ensuring the data delivered to clients is being executed as planned
- Utilize and create SQL coding to query and manipulate complex data that can be used to automate routine tasks and data reporting
- Streamline data reporting to support current growth and improve current processes
- Work with clients to understand the data they provide and how that data translates into a common data model that supports driving client business improvement
- Develop and refine control reporting for file receipts and transmissions
- Compare third party reporting on key metrics as it relates to business activity
- Support the Account Management team in efforts to improve process consistency
- Perform other general quantitative analysis as it relates to Waystar's business goals
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related quantitative field
- 1+ years of experience performing data analysis in a business environment
- Experience using SQL Server for complex projects and tasks a plus
- Proven experience managing data, including data analysis and problem solving
- Familiarity with the challenges of data extraction and manipulation of large data sets
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
- Healthcare experience a plus
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Client Operations and Transformation team at Waystar builds brand loyalty and ensures solution adoption and client success. From resolving concerns to maintaining positive relationships, the team works directly with clients to provide resources and tools to help achieve their healthcare revenue cycle goals. The Client Operations team is split into two divisions: Health Systems & Hospitals (HS&H) and Ambulatory. The Health Systems & Hospitals division includes large health systems at a multi-level local or national scale. The Ambulatory division includes organizations such as provider groups and physician and specialty practices.
