Data Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team at CRICO. This individual will use data to drive business and patient safety decisions and help others grow their ability to do so as well. This role has high visibility to customers, both internal and external, at all levels of leadership. The Senior Data Analyst develops, designs, and delivers data analyses of business and clinical nature, and consults and advises decision-makers. Executing analyses includes tasks like querying our database using SQL, performing analyses/calculations on insurance data using Python or R, and then generating final deliverables using Power BI and PowerPoint. This position reports directly to the Data Analytics Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective relationships across CRICO departments and with external clients
• Develop, design, and deliver data analyses. Partner with internal CRICO colleagues and external clients to understand business problems, define requirements, develop analytic plans, and provide on-time delivery of results and insight
  • Generate analyses ideas and proposals
  • Gather context and negotiate requirements for analyses
  • Follow policies relating to privacy and security, and obtain necessary sign-offs
  • Design queries and data models to gather data and create reports, and graphics in response to regular and ad hoc requests
  • Synthesize and interpret data/results to make appropriate and relevant conclusions
  • Validate results before presenting them to the requester
  • Present findings to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5 year's relevant experience in analytics, Business Intelligence development, Operations, or Information Systems
• Love of puzzle and problem solving required
• Experience or high interest in visualization software and dashboard development required
• Knowledge of relational databases and familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex work environment and set priorities to achieve results
• Project management skill/experience a plus
• Experience in healthcare, insurance industry, or health policy
