Data Analyst

Bay Cities is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Analysis

• Gather, consolidate, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze complex datasets using statistical techniques and data mining methods.
• Identify trends, patterns, and correlations to derive meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis as requested by stakeholders.

2. Data Visualization and Reporting:

• Create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards to present key indings to stakeholders.
• Develop data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other relevant software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.

3. Data Quality & Governance:

• Implement data quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks and best practices.

4. Business Insights and Decision Support:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Translate complex data findings into clear and concise recommendations to drive business outcomes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide insights to support strategic planning and process improvements.

5. Continuous Learning and Innovation:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analysis and visualization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data analysis efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering data-driven insights.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data analysis.
• Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• Solid understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Description

$90,000-$150,000 (DOE)
